To build a stronger, Calgary Meals on Wheels promotes health and independence by providing quality, caring community, nutritious and affordable meals to people in need of our services. Short term long term we're here to help. All meals are prepared to meet Canada's Food Guide standards and accommodations are made for clients who require special dietary needs, such as texture modifications, renal and diabetic diets. These meals are prepared in the Calgary Meals on Wheels kitchen and delivered Monday through Friday by a dedicated corps of volunteers. Offered 365 days of the year, our Regular Meal Program consists of one lunch tray and a hot meal tray. Although our principal clients are seniors, and people recovering from illness or surgery, people with physical and mental disabilities, we also serve the working homeless as well as vulnerable school children. Age and finances are not qualifying factors to sign-up for service.
